Police Station: Frontline Binjiang Property Staff’s Prompt Response Embodies the Spirit of “Putting People and Life on Top”

Recently, the Ziyang Police Station in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, sent letters of commendation to Binjiang Property’s service centers at Qianjiang Yufu and Renbin Apartment in recognition of their prompt response to the police station’s directive. As soon as instructed by the police station, the two service centers intensified their patrols around the residential quarter and successfully discovered and rescued a girl who attempting to take her own life, thereby saving a life and interpreting General Secretary Xi’s important directive of “putting people and their lives above anything else”. In this collaborative action with the police, Wu Fangbin and Wang Jibo from Qianjiang Yufu service center, as well as Zhong Ronghui from Renbin Apartment service center performed very well, demonstrating their sense of responsibility and dedication.

At 15:00 on August 27th, in the Police-Public Joint Governance WeChat group, the property service centers of Qianjiang Yufu and Renbin Apartment, both residential quarters in Shangcheng District of Hangzhou, received an urgent notice from the Ziyang Police Station, reporting that someone was trying to commit suicide. Wu Fangbin, the order director of Qianjiang Yufu, immediately ran to search around the residential quarter while notifying the order team members to run and search around as well.

In less than five minutes, Wu Fangbin discovered a girl standing shoeless on the riverbank nearby, seemingly planning to jump into the river for suicide. The order foreman Wang Jibo soon arrived at the scene. Wu Fangbin immediately contacted Officer Zhao of the Ziyang Police Station to verify the situation and report the exact location. He also sent photos of the scene via the Joint Governance WeChat group while waiting for the police to arrive.

As Wu Fangbin was reporting their location, the girl suddenly jumped into the river. Without a second thought, Wu jumped over the railing and rushed to the riverbank, preparing for a rescue. Relievedly, he found that the girl could swim. After confirming that the girl was not in danger, Wu Fangbin and Wang Jibo contacted the police again and took turns to persuade the girl to get on the bank while closely observing her actions, readying themselves for any emergency rescue.

Zhong Ronghui, Binjiang Property’s order foreman at Renbin Apartment, also saw the messages and photos in the Joint Governance WeChat group. Realizing that it was at the riverbank near Qianjiang Yufu, he rushed to the scene to assist the police in the rescue efforts. “It was police officers who jumped into the river at the time. I didn’t do much but helped pull them onto the bank and handed them life jackets,” said Zhong Ronghui.

With the assistance of the order director Wu Fangbin and order foreman Wang Jibo of Qianjiang Yufu as well as the order foreman Zhong Ronghui of Renbin Apartment, the police finally pulled the girl onto the bank. The girl was still very agitated after getting out of the river, and the three order staff members of Binjiang Property kept comforting the girl and didn’t leave and return to their jobs until the girl calmed down.

The frontline Binjiang Property staff shoulder their social responsibilities and missions and embody the spirit of “putting people and life on top” with their actions.
